The study area is located in the Villa Luz Native Community, province of Ramon Castilla, department of Loreto, Amazon River basin, the population was the forest management area of 500 hectares and the sample was annual cut plot No. 01 with 100 hectares. The characteristics and composition of a natural forest are very important aspects to know its dynamics and specially to define its structure and composition, which allows designing a management plan depending on the results obtained. This study allows defining the most important characteristics of a natural forest, identifying the species that are part of it and the characteristics of abundance, dominance, frequency and index of importance value, allowing to define ecological importance and degree of heterogeneity of the ecosystem. The objectives were: to gather information on the current status of the floodplain forest of the Villa Luz native community. For the forest inventory at 100%, the systematic design of belts was used; for the taking of field data in the forest inventory, commercial trees were considered 40 cm of DAP in each sampling unit. The results indicate that 2 commercial species have been registered, the most representative being the Clarisia biflora "capinuri".
