The need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases to mitigate climate change have been forced to develop mechanisms or mitigation options varied, including the voluntary carbon market, through reduction credits Verified Emissions of carbon that measure results in carbon dioxide equivalent. Peru has a great potential to actively enter the market of carbon by agricultural, forestry and/or silvicultural projects; a way to contribute to the development of these projects is investigating various growth habits and cupped of plant species in order to relate these characteristics to the amount of storage of CO2 equivalent. This research was conducted in the period March-May 2015, in order to determine the influence of the growth habit and shape of glass in storing carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) in a population of 211 plant species " research project in multi-layered system of crop strips for recovery of secondary forests, Fundo Zungaro Cocha-UNAP. Data analysis showed that the habit of growth and cupped positively influence the fixing of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) of species, including species Inga edulis is set by as much carbon dioxide equivalent for their habit growth Troll and form good glass, followed by Croton lechleri belonging to the same habit growth and cup-shaped instead species Grias neuberthii set smaller amount of carbon dioxide, it has a habit growth Massart and form poor glass.
