Conocimientos sobre micronutrientes y actitudes hacia su consumo en madres de niños de 6 a 36 meses de Pueblo Libre- Belén 2018

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento sobre micronutrientes y actitudes hacia su consumo en madres de niños de 6 a 36 meses, Pueblo Libre, Belén 2018; se empleó el método cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional y transversal; la población estuvo conformada por 780 madres de niños de 6 a 36 meses y la muestra por 161. Los instrumentos fueron: un cuestionario para identificar el conocimiento sobre micronutrientes y la escala tipo Likert para medir actitudes hacia el consumo de micronutrientes. Los resultados fueron 77,0% (127) presentaron conocimiento adecuado y el 23,0% (34) tienen conocimiento inadecuado; 63,4% (102) tienen actitudes favorables, y el 36,6% (59) tienen actitudes desfavorables; al relacionar las variables se encontró: X2 = 51,401 gl = 1 p = 0.000 α = 0,05, demostrando así que existe relación entre las mismas. Concluyendo que existe relación estadística entre conocimiento sobre los micronutrientes y las actitudes hacia el consumo de micronutrientes en madres de niños menores de 6 a 36 meses, Pueblo Libre, Belén 2018.

The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge about micronutrients and attitudes towards their consumption in mothers of children from 6 to 36 months, Pueblo Libre, Belén 2018; We used the quantitative method, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and transversal design; the population consisted of 780 mothers of children from 6 to 36 months and the sample by 161. The instruments were: a questionnaire to identify knowledge about micronutrients and the Likert-type scale to measure attitudes towards the consumption of micronutrients. The results were 77.0% (127) presented adequate knowledge and 23.0% (34) have inadequate knowledge; 63.4% (102) have favorable attitudes, and 36.6% (59) have unfavorable attitudes; when relating the variables, it was found: X2 = 51.401 gl = 1 p = 0.000 α = 0.05, showing that there is a relationship between them. Concluding that there is a statistical relationship between knowledge about micronutrients and attitudes towards the consumption of micronutrients in mothers of children under 6 to 36 months, Pueblo Libre, Belén 2018.
