The purpose of the study was to conduct a floristic analysis of ornamental species established in the green areas of Av Abelardo Quiñonez, District of San Juan Bautista, Loreto -. Peru. A total of 797 individuals were recorded and 14 species, distributed in 8 botanical families were identified: Arecaceae six species: borinquena Roystonea OF Cook. Euterpe precatoria C. Martius. Trithrinax brasiiensis Mart. Mauritia flexuosa L. f. Elaeis guineensis Jacquin and Cocos nucifera L.; Anacardiaceae a kind: Mangifera indica L.; Euphorbiaceae a species: Codiaeum variegatum (L) Rumph ex A. Juss.; Fabacea a kind: Delonix regia (Bojer ex Hooker) Raf.; Malvaceae a kind: Hibiscus rosasinensis L.; Moraceae a species: Ficus benjamina L.; Myrtaceae a kind: Syzygium jambos (L) Alston.; Rubiaceae two species: Ixora finlaysoniana Walich ex G. Don and Mussaenda erythrophylla Shumach & Thonn. The most abundant species were: Roystonea borinquena with 29,74%, followed by Codiaeum variegatum with 27,60% and 13,43% with Hibiscus rosasinensis. Most average height reached Syzygium jambos tree species and Mangifera indica, with 5,21 m and 4,65 m respectively. The average diameter was greater for Elaeis guineensis (palm) with 83cm and Syzygium jambos (tree) with 58cm; according to the stem form 49.56% had forked shank, straight 47.68%, 1.76% and 1% incline shaft defect. In the plant health, 55.33% showed good condition, 40.53% regularly and only 4.14% bad. Finally a proposed management plan was developed, sugeririendo the addition of four new species: Caryocar sp (almond), Brunfelsia grandiflora (Chiric sanango), Heliconia rostrata (Situlli) and Attalea phalerata (Shapaja), the participation of also suggests population involved.
