Eating behavior is reflected in health and specifically in nutritional status. The research presented has the objective of determining the relationship between eating behavior and assessment of the nutritional status of medical students from the National University of the Peruvian Amazon. Methodology: The type of study is descriptive, correlational, non-experimental design, cross-correlational, in a study population of 102 students. Results: 58.8% presented unhealthy eating behavior; in the biochemical indicators, 58,8% present cholesterol in high and high limits, being normal in the values of hemoglobin, glycemia and triglycerides; In the anthropometric indicators, 64.7% are overweight (BMI) and 65.7% are at increased and high risk of becoming ill (abdominal circumference); Likewise, it was determined that there is no statistically significant relationship between eating behavior and nutritional status (p = 0.500). Conclusion: Eating behavior is unhealthy, with borderline and high risk of getting sick due to cholesterol values, who are overweight according to body mass index and high risk of getting sick according to abdominal girth values.
