The present study was conducted in the Corrientillo ravine, located near the Town Center Zungarococha, District of San Juan Bautista, Department of Loreto, whose aim was to isolate and identify total coliforms and fecal coliforms to determine their presence or absence in water the Corrientillo broken, populated center of Zungarococha, according to the reference values established by the General water Law; to guide the population of its proper use. The water Corrientillo Gulch Village Center Zungarococha is contaminated with total coliform bacteria and fecal coliform, being unfit for human consumption and recreational use. The samples showed values of 845 / 100ml for total coliforms and 616 / 100ml for fecal coliforms. The percentage of total coliforms was 57.8% and 42.1% fecal coliforms. The levels of total coliforms and fecal coliforms, indicate that the waters of the creek Corrientillo exceed the maximum permissible limits for these bacteria. The mechanisms of isolation and identification of total and fecal coliforms were sufficient to determine the presence or absence of fecal coliforms in the waters of the gulch Corrientillo Zungarococha Town Center, which was reflected in the results.
