Informality is a phenomenon present in all of Latin America that is currently part of the daily life of the countries of the region, it is present in the provision of services and in the labor sector. This study analyzes how the informality of the mystical tourism offer works in the historic center of Cusco; The tourist demand has been growing in recent years because of this tourist alternative, which is why a socio-economic development has been allowed by the agencies and the population, generating a growth in the informality of the tourist offer in the city of Cusco. The objective of this research is to determine the level of incidence of informality in the mystical tourism offer in the historic center of Cusco, 2019. The methodology to be used is of a correlational descriptive level, where 95 tourists who were surveyed were surveyed. performed the ancestral ceremony when consuming Ayahuasca and San Pedro to obtain information on how the offer of mystical tourism works, likewise follow-up files were applied to 77 agencies in the historic center of Cusco to corroborate if they comply with the necessary documentation for the formalization of a tourist company. The control, regulation and promotion strategies proposed for the proper development of mystical tourism and thus improve the image of this activity are disclosed. Finally, it is concluded that the informality of the mystical tourism offer has a negative impact on the historic center, since there is a considerable number of agencies that operate mystical tourism outside the legal and regulatory frameworks, which go unnoticed by tourists because many of them lack knowledge about formalization.
