The objective of the research was to know the relationship between internet addiction and academic procrastination in high school students of two emblematic schools Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and Ciencias in the city of Cusco, 2019. The selected approach was quantitative, descriptive in scope. - correlational and non-experimental design - transversal, comparative, the population was made up of 2062 students from the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega school and 1470 students from the Sciences school, making a total of 3532 and the sample was made up of 203 students from the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega school. la Vega and 144 students from the Sciences school. The results obtained indicated that the level of Internet addiction was very low in 68.6% of the sample, in terms of procrastination, 41.8% of students indicated low levels of procrastination, it could also be indicated that the levels of Procrastination in both the students of the Ciencias and Garcilaso schools were low, without much percentage difference between them, a similar situation was observed regarding Internet addiction. At an inferential level, the existence of a significant relationship between addiction and procrastination was observed (p=0.000). In conclusion, Internet addiction is directly related to academic procrastination in high school students from two emblematic Inca Garcilaso de la Vega schools. and Sciences of the city of Cusco, 2019. since, those who have a very low level of internet addiction present a low level of procrastination, likewise, those who present a regular level of internet addiction present a regular level of procrastination, that is, as the level of Internet addiction increases, students present higher levels of procrastination.
