The following research “COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS OF THE REDUCTION OF SETTLEMENTS WITH THE METHODOLOGIES (WITH PVD / WITHOUT PVD - PREFABRICATED VERTICAL DRAINS) FOR THE CONSOLIDATION OF SOFT SOILS USING THE ASAOKA METHOD PROPOSED IN THE DEFINITIVE ENGINEERING STUDY REGARDING WHAT WAS EXECUTED AT THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OF CHINCHERO - CUSCO" has as its main objective to carry out an analysis of the variability of the results of the settlements with the implementation of prefabricated vertical drains (PVD'S) for the consolidation of soft soils of the International Airport of Chinchero - Cusco with the Asaoka method using the data obtained from the instrumentation. The analysis of the data obtained through field instrumentation was carried out, using the topographic data obtained from the settlement plate placed in the field in each sector. The most reliable values of the end of primary settlement and consolidation coefficient, using the Asaoka method, are obtained with settlement observations in the range of 40% to at least 80% of primary consolidation. To consider the prediction of settlements by the Asaoka Method reliable, the value of R², which is the level of security in the research, must be between 0.9 to 1, or as close to 1. According to the results analyzed, they indicate that in all sectors the value of R² is between 0.95% to 0.99%. We can also say that in none of the cases was the time and final settlement proposed in the Definitive Engineering Study met. (EDI). It should be taken into account that having a sector with soft soil improvement with prefabricated vertical drains (PVD) and another sector attached to it without soft soil improvement with prefabricated vertical drains (PVD), cracks could be generated, since the difference of settlements between both sectors could be greater than expected, causing a gap between the soil of the sectors and therefore, the generation of fissures.
