The present investigation focuses on analyzing and determining the existing problem regarding the socioeconomic factors that determine the informality of the urban sweets trade in the center of the city, of the District of Cusco in the period 2013 - 2016, in order to determine the aspects by which an individual and families decide to work in informality, was formulated as the main objective: Analyze and specify the socioeconomic factors that determine the informality of the urban commerce of sweets from the center of the city, of the District of Cusco in the period 2013 - 2016. The general hypothesis was formulated as follows: The most influential socioeconomic factors that determine the informality of the urban commerce of sweets from the city center of the District of Cusco, are: employability, the degree of instruction, gender, age, level of income and marital status. Analyzing these factors will contribute to the development of solid and stable formalization, thus solving the problem of informality with incentive policies that contribute to the development and growth of the Cusco district. The research responds to the type of descriptive and quantitative research, where its level of research is a descriptive and correlated study, the size of the population is considered in 79 informal people who were considered in this research, it was concluded that socioeconomic factors more influential than they determine the informality of the urban commerce of sweets of the center of the city of the District of Cusco, they are the occupability where 53.8% work with their children, income level of 55% of the people is greater than 500 soles, according to the gender 85 % are women, educational level 38.8% is incomplete secondary, according to age, 48.8% are over 46 years old and with respect to marital status 37.5% of the respondents are cohabitants.
