The subject of our research was determined by reason of the climatic and environmental situation in which we find ourselves. Eco-efficiency is a procedure that is regulated by law for the Public Sector, but is not put into practice, therefore the general objective of our research was: Describe how the baselines of eco-efficiency in the current and eco-efficiency in the District Municipality of Chinchero, period 2019. The Methodology used was of a basic type, quantitative approach with a non-experimental- cross-sectional design, descriptive in scope. The techniques used to obtain data on current spending and eco-efficiency were the documentary analysis and the survey. The instruments used for data collection were the Document Analysis file and the questionnaire, applied to a population, made up of the documentation corresponding to current expenditure and eco- efficiency; and 30 workers from the Municipality of Chinchero. The results obtained are limited to the following baseline indicators: electricity, water, office supplies, fuel and solid waste generation. These results, displayed in tables, reveal in detail the consumption of these resources, making an interpretation of each of them and showing the inappropriate and indiscriminate use of these resources, which what they have achieved is to increase the expenditure of the Entity and the depletion of resources, which will soon be scarce. The main conclusions reached is that current spending is carried out without taking into account the environmental recommendations implemented for the Public Sector. It is also concluded that the use of office supplies is inappropriate. Likewise, the use of electricity and water exceeds the necessary use and it is wasted, unnecessarily increasing the current expenditure of the Entity.
