Objective: To identify the presence of obstetric violence in pregnant women during delivery and puerperium in the Hospital Antonio Lorena del Cusco, 2018 Methodology: The type of research is descriptive, not experimental, with a quantitative, transversal, exploratory design. The sample of this investigation is made up of all the immediate postpartum women of vaginal deliveries hospitalized in the maternity service and obstetric center of the Antonio Lorena hospital in Cusco during the month, through a structured anonymous survey Results: the presence of obstetric violence in pregnant women during childbirth and puerperium was determined by two dimensions, actions and omissions of obstetric violence when describing the violent actions exercised by health personnel towards pregnant women during delivery and puerperium care. determined that genital shaving, enema administration, use of an instrument for the birth of the newborn (vacuum or forcep) is not performed, while the most common actions used by health personnel were intravenous line placement (100% ), repeated vaginal exams (64%) and by different people (78%), fetal cardio monitoring (91%), some forms of psychological obstetric violence were also identified, the fact of not being called by their name at birth (79%) ) and puerperium (78%), could not freely express their fears and concerns in the puerperium (50%), were discriminated against in minimal percentages for their religion (2%) , sociodemographic level at birth (25%) and puerperium (19%), age at delivery (12%) and puerperium (13%) and marital status (2%) and puerperium (1%) and made them feel that the delivery would be good (33%) and puerperium (19%). When describing the violent omissions exercised by health personnel towards pregnant women during delivery and puerperal care, some forms of obstetric violence were identified such as not being informed of the progress of the postpartum (50%), the fact of not being informed of the procedures performed on the newborn (80%), half of them were not oriented on breastfeeding and newborn care and were not oriented in family planning (29%), perceived the presence of students during childbirth (48%); they were not allowed to be accompanied by a person of their choice at childbirth (89%) or in the puerperium (44%); they did not have freedom of movement to choose the position for childbirth (100%), they could not eat or drink after childbirth (25%). Conclusion: This research concludes that there is the presence of obstetric violence to pregnant women during delivery and puerperium in the Antonio Lorena Hospital in Cusco, 2018.
