Hormonal contraceptives is one of the most used methods, which prevents unwanted pregnancies, they contain varied indications according to and depending on the doses of hormones and their combination. Hormonal contraceptives are based on progestogens individually or in combination with estrogens, which is why they are classified as: monophasic, biphasic and triphasic. In this research, we seek to establish the level of association between hormonal contraceptives and depression in family planning users at the Hospital Túpac Amaru II E in Cusco, 2023. Likewise, within the research, a low association between both variables is recorded. The research has a correlational scope, with a quantitative approach and a cross- sectional retrospective non-experimental design. The study population is all the users of the first quarter of the year 2023 of family planning in the Gynecology-obstetrics service of the Tupac Amaru Cusco Hospital, made up of a total of 125 users, using inclusion and exclusion criteria that were attended in the family planning area of the Hospital Tupac Amaru II E, in the city of Cusco. As results, the relationship was found between the type of hormonal contraceptives used and the level of depression in the family planning users surveyed at the Hospital Túpac Amaru II E of Cusco in the year 2023, where the different levels of depression are distributed among the different types of hormonal contraceptives used by family planning patients in the hospital.
