In 2021, an investigation was carried out in the Province of Cusco that aimed to determine how the perception of citizen insecurity affects the quality of life of the inhabitants of the region. The research used an applied methodology with a descriptive-correlational scope and a non-experimental design. Data collection was carried out through a survey applied to a sample of 384 citizens of the Province of Cusco. The results indicated that 63.3% of citizens rated citizen insecurity as high and 54.7% rated subjective elements as high. It was concluded that the perception of citizen insecurity has a significant impact on the quality of life of the population of the Province of Cusco in the year 2021, both in the subjective and objective elements of quality of life. In addition, a significant relationship was observed between the perception of citizen insecurity and several factors, including the district, occupation, income level, material of the housing floor, self-esteem, and satisfaction with life of the inhabitants of the community.
