Abstract: En el año 2021 se llevó a cabo una investigación en la Provincia del Cusco que tuvo como
objetivo determinar cómo la percepción de inseguridad ciudadana se relaciona con la calidad
de vida de los habitantes de la región. La investigación utilizó una metodología aplicada con
un alcance descriptivo-correlacional y un diseño no experimental. La recolección de datos
se realizó a través de una encuesta aplicada a una muestra de 384 ciudadanos de la Provincia
del Cusco. Los resultados indicaron que el 63,3% de los ciudadanos calificó la inseguridad
ciudadana como alta y el 54,7% calificó como alta los elementos subjetivos. Se concluyó
que la percepción de inseguridad ciudadana tiene un impacto significativo en la calidad de
vida de la población de la Provincia del Cusco en el año 2021, tanto en los elementos
subjetivos como objetivos de la calidad de vida. Además, se observó una relación
significativa entre la percepción de inseguridad ciudadana y varios factores, incluyendo el
distrito, la ocupación, el nivel de ingresos, el material del piso de la vivienda, la autoestima
y la satisfacción con la vida de los habitantes de la provincia del Cusco.
