The economic valuation of environmental services assigns quantitative values to the goods and services provided by natural resources and the environment, regardless of whether they have a market or not, currently a market society is presented, because when valuing the importance of an asset it takes a monetary value as a reference. The objective of this research was to determine the economic value of the risk due to the loss of water ecosystem services in the Huasao Populated Center, located in the Cusco region, Quispicanchi province, Oropesa district, the method used was contingent valuation, a questionnaire was prepared and a survey was applied to 111 residents to determine the willingness to pay for the recovery and conservation of provision and regulation services. The Huasao Populated Center consists of two groups of users, first are the users of water for population and commercial consumption who present a willingness to pay for the provision service of $ 0.54 dollars and for the regulation service the amount of $ 0.27 dollars, making a total of $ 0.81 dollars per user connected to the network (home). The second group consists of users of water for population, commercial and agricultural use, who present a willingness to pay for the provision service of $ 0.54 dollars, in addition to the willingness to pay for the use of agricultural water, which is $ 4.72 dollars, and for the service of regulation the amount of $ 0.27 dollars, making a total of $ 5.53 dollars per user connected to the network (home) and beneficiary of water for agricultural use. In this way, when quantifying the economic value of the risk due to the loss of water ecosystem services in units monetary, the information collected is made available to help the authorities make decisions and prioritize their actions.
