Abstract: Los internos de enfermería durante su formación académica estuvieron expuestos a situaciones difíciles, como el fallecimiento de un paciente, el cual dará paso al desarrollo y fortalecimiento de actitudes. Objetivo: Determinar la actitud ante la muerte en estudiantes de enfermería de una universidad de Lima Metropolitana - 2022. Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo de alcance descriptivo, no experimental y de corte transversal. La población fue de 71 estudiantes de enfermería, aplicando un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia; asimismo, se aplicó una encuesta tipo Likert a los participantes, la cual se titulaba Cuestionario de Actitud ante la Muerte (CAM). Resultados: Se obtuvo que el 54.9% de los estudiantes de enfermería tienen actitud positiva y 45.1% actitud negativa. También, se evidencia que los estudiantes presentan actitudes positivas en las dimensiones de aceptación (77.5%), pasaje (53.5%) y perspectiva profesional (53.5%).; asimismo, se evidencia actitudes negativas en las dimensiones de temor (56.3%), evitación (53.5%) y salida (73.2%).Conclusión: La mayoría de los estudiantes muestra actitud positiva ante la muerte (54.9%) y las dimensiones con actitud positiva son aceptación, pasaje y perspectiva profesional, donde el conocimiento de las actitudes será de gran aporte para las instituciones educativas en la preparación de los estudiantes ante la muerte del paciente.
During their academic training, nursing interns were exposed to tricky situations, such as the death of a patient, which will give way to the development and strengthening of attitudes. Objective: Determine the attitude toward death in nursing students at a university in Metropolitan Lima - 2022. Methods: Quantitative study of descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional scope. The population was 71 nursing students, applying non-probabilistic convenience sampling; Likewise, a Likert-type survey was applied to the participants, which was titled the Attitude towards Death Questionnaire (CAM). Results: It was obtained that 54.9% of nursing students have a positive attitude and 45.1% have a negative attitude. Also, it is evident that students present positive attitudes in the dimensions of acceptance (77.5%), passage (53.5%) and professional perspective (53.5%); Likewise, negative attitudes are evident in the dimensions of fear (56.3%), avoidance (53.5%) and exit (73.2%). Conclusion: Most students show a positive attitude towards death (54.9%) and the dimensions with attitude positive are acceptance, passage and professional perspective, where knowledge of attitudes will be of great contribution to educational institutions in preparing students for the death of the patient.
