The objective of this work was to design a Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for a Drugstore based in Peru, which will reduce the recovery and restoration time of the Drugstore's operations in the event of disaster-type events. In addition, it will help meet the strategic objectives of the coming years. In this sense, the work consists of four chapters. The first considered the relevant concepts at the level of the pharmaceutical industry, legal and regulatory framework, international standards and methodologies for the preparation of a DRP. The second chapter provided an analysis of the current situation of the Drugstore. Therefore, the information of the company was presented de processes to the business model. Likewise, focusing on the information necessary for the development of the DRP, information on the current situation of the IT area was detailed. Finally, a diagnosis was made de the business and technological perspective of the Drugstore. In the third chapter, the solution proposal was elaborated based mainly on the ISO/IEC 27031:2011 standard, which defines a continuous improvement cycle with four stages that must be met in the development of a DRP. Additionally, the financial evaluation of the project was prepared, being economically viable. Finally, conclusions and recommendations of this research work were provided so that the Drugstore take it into account for the development of its DRP.
