The objective of this research work is to analyze the conceptions of students and teachers about the use of the Internet and its contributions to improve learning. The specificity of the object of study led to the delimitation of a case study that involved bibliographic research, documentary research and field work. The data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with students and teachers from a state educational institution. The main concern was to seek to qualitatively identify how and to what extent said use has been able to contribute to the achievement of the previously proposed objectives. From the survey of the theoretical framework and the data collected, content analysis was used, seeking to raise and discuss some of the elements involved in the pedagogical work of teachers with the Internet and some difficulties encountered by them during their work in the classroom. pedagogical innovation. What we found in our research is the existence of a great paradox: on the one hand, we have a society immersed in the immense ocean of information that the Internet has presented to us, with a large number of children using ICT from a young age in their personal lives, Well, on the other hand, we have a school that still develops practices from the last century, because it is attached to traditional structures, that makes rapid innovations, as is the case of information and communication technologies, they remain closed. Given the results of our research, we understand that it is necessary to renew ourselves, it is necessary to surrender to methods that add to our classes, that encourage our students to participate in them, making them see the importance of the content, making them feel the relationship between theory and practice. , that they observe interdisciplinarity in the classroom and, above all, feel part of the learning process.
