The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of 4 sources of inorganic P in the feed on the egg quality of laying hens in the second productive phase in a period of 28 days. 960 hens (Hy-Line Brown) were used, distributed in 4 treatments, 6 repetitions per treatment and 40 birds per repetition. Each treatment (experimental diet) contained a different source of inorganic P: T1 = DCP - Peru (18.5% of P); T2 = DCP - China (18% of P); T3 = MDCP - Peru (21.5% of P); and T4 = MCP - China (22.3% of P). The parameters evaluated in relation to the external quality of the egg were: shell color (CC), shell percentage (PC), shell thickness (GC), specific gravity (EG); and those related to the internal quality of the egg were: yolk color (CY), percentage of yolk (PY) and albumin (PA), and Haugh Units (UH). Parametric variables were evaluated through analysis of variance (ANOVA) and non-parametric variables through Kruskal Wallis test, with a significance level of 95%. Statistical difference was found for the variables corresponding to PC, CG, GE, UH and PY; where higher values were obtained in T3, T4, T2, T1 and T1 respectively, compared to the other sources of phosphates studied. Considering the GE as the most important characteristic when evaluating the external quality of the egg, it is concluded that the DCP - China, the MCP - China and DCP - Peru are superior compared to the MDCP - Peru; Considering the HU as the most important characteristic when evaluating the internal quality of the egg, the DCP - Peru, the MDCP - Peru and the DCP - China are superior in comparison to the MCP - China.
