The objective of this research is to determine the students’ perception about the contribution of the teaching profile’s competencies in the formative evaluation, during the Workshop Multifunctional Spaces 1 by the Interior Architecture department of a Lima’s technological institute in 2019. The sample consisted of 28 students who completed the workshop under study during their previous academic semester Focus group and the survey were the data collection techniques used; tools included a guide for the focus group, as well as a questionnaire with open questions, due to the qualitative nature of the study. The methodology applied for this research used a qualitative approach, descriptive scope and empirical phenomenological design The results of the data analysis showed that students value the importance of their workshop teachers’ interpersonal, communicative, didactic and professional skills during the “critique” stage, which corresponds to the feedback received during their formative evaluation. In conclusion, the students of the Multifunctional Spaces Workshop 1 perceive that the development of specific competences in the teacher enhances formative evaluation, contributing to the improvement of their projects and learning enrichment.
