The present work highlights the interrelation of the important aspects of geomechanics and structural design as it is applied at the level of the Ananea sector which is located within the jurisdiction of the district of Ananea province of San Antonio de Putina, Puno region, the Rinconada is located at an altitude of 4950 meters above sea level. For this study it is taken into account that in the whole area of Ananea gold is mainly exploited as the main mineral that is found in the mantos that are formed by quartziferous rocks and sedimentary slate rocks and in turn there is pyrite and pyrrhotite, there are also veins of structural character. For the exploitation of the different workings and pits this is done by drilling with pneumatic and electric equipment in some cases and the cleaning and hauling is done with wheelbarrows, dumpers, mining carts that in some cases are conditioned for some workings where greater extraction of material is not required, On the other hand, in the case of blasting, dynamite, accessories such as slow fuse and fulminants are used, which are acquired by the owner of each contract at the Ananea Mining Corporation, which distributes them according to their mining plan. This work is carried out with the geotechnical study because in the area there are several contracts in which there have been many accidents with falling rocks, so in turn they work with very little planning in different areas of exploitation and has been seen by convenient to conduct a geotechnical study and thus be able to design some pillars that are suitable for exploitation. For this type of study will be as follows: geomechanical characterization of some critical areas, design of the pillars and to be able to recommend the types of support. In order to have a potential improvement of the geological aspect, rock mechanics and structural design that in this case does not require a structural improvement.
