This research paper describes and analyzes the background of the implementation of the Business Process Management (BPM) approach in a public organization such as the Hunter Micro-network of the Ministry of Health (MINSA). One of the biggest problems of public institutions in Peru is the inefficiency of its processes, as an example one of its most common processes such as the process of the office of institutional development planning (OPPDI) usually takes more than 16 business days when by regulation The time should be less than or equal to 15 business days. Due to the aforementioned, in this research work the implementation of the BPM approach in the MINSA Hunter Micro-network was proposed in the most representative processes such as: were; process General Legajos, process Purchasing Logistics, process Hiring of Personnel and OPPDI insurance process, of which they occupy more than 50% of the procedures required in said entity, for this the ProcessMaker technology platform was used which is a tool dedicated to the implementation, analysis and Business process documentation was used in a period of 2 months which, after the implementation was completed, resulted in an improvement of 150% in terms of user satisfaction levels, also an extra module was developed to the one proposed by ProcessMaker to display the delay time per process, activity and user.
