The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between visual appearance, available information, COVID-19 risk perception, and the intention to purchase menus online in the metropolitan city of Lima. A quantitative methodology was employed with a descriptive-correlational approach and a non-experimental design. A total of 315 individuals participated in the study, who were selected through a quota sampling method. The sample was divided into 10 subgroups, each corresponding to one of the 10 districts that make up zones 6 and 7 of the metropolitan city of Lima. The study found that the sample was composed of 52.4% men and 47.6% women, with the majority in the age range of 20 to 29 years (32.7%). The majority of the participants were single (70.2%) and employed (66.3%), and 20.3% reported incomes between 3000 to 4000 soles. Statistical analyses revealed a significant and positive correlation between visual appearance, menu information, COVID-19 risk perception, and the intention to purchase menus online. The correlation values were rho = 0.660, sig. < 0.05; rho = 0.669, sig. < 0.05; and r = 0.336, sig. < 0.05, respectively. It was concluded that there is a relationship between visual appearance, menu information, COVID-19 risk perception, and the intention to purchase menus online in metropolitan Lima.
