The general objective of the research was to determine how the level of maturity of the internal control system is related to the quality of human resource management at the National University of Engineering, 2019. For this, a basic research was carried out, at a descriptive correlational level, qualitative-quantitative approach, non-experimental cross- sectional design. As a data collection technique, field work was used with Likert-type scale surveys and also documentary analysis; Using descriptive statistics, the behavior of each variable was described, then using correlational statistics, the relationship or degree of association between the variables was determined. As a result, it was determined that in the variable “Internal control system“, of the total number of respondents: 6.66% consider that it is non-existent, 16.67% that it is initial, 46.66% that it is intermediate, 23 .33% that it is advanced and 6.67% that it is optimal; and that the referred level of maturity in 2019 was intermediate. Regarding the variable “Human resources management“, of the total number of respondents: 10.00% consider that it is low, 43.33% that it is moderate, 43.33% that it is high and 3.33% that she's very tall; and that the quality of UNI's human resources management in 2019 was moderate. It was established that there is a considerable (directly proportional) positive correlation between the maturity level of the internal control system and quality of human resources management, with a Spearman's Rho result of 0.718 and a significance level of 0.00, indicating that the correlation is significant. In this sense, the level of maturity of the internal control system is significantly related to the quality of human resources management of the National University of Engineering, 2019.
