Arterial hypertension is one of the most common pathologies in the world that mainly affects the elderly population, approximately half of them suffering its effects, which makes it one of the main causes of premature death. The main cause of complications from hypertension is due to following an unhealthy lifestyle, that is, a sedentary lifestyle, consumption of fats and alcohol, high salt consumption, etc. As part of the non-pharmacological treatment for this disease, the unhealthy lifestyle must be changed to counteract the consequences of hypertension, which could become serious if they are not properly controlled. However, it has been identified that a large part of the elderly don’t include the recommended physical activity in their daily life, this due to lack of motivation and fear of the possibility of suffering cardiac overdemand during the activity due to the very nature of their condition. For this reason, this study proposes the development of Latifit, an Interactive Step Exerciser for the home, which allows the elderly the possibility of performing aerobic exercises from home in a recreational, safe, and constant way. The validation was carried out in person through interviews with the target audience, analyzing their interaction with a 1:1 prototype, as well as interviews with experts in the cardiologist and sports field to learn their perspective according to their respective specialties. The information collected was analyzed and studied to meet the objective of including physical activity in the daily routine of the elderly, through playful routines, short-range goals, and constant monitoring of vital signs
