Public spaces are essential places for the development of people, since they improve their quality of life. In Peru there is a lack of these, which means the loss of an important factor in people's lives, so the creation of spaces is relevant. Under this premise, Ocupa Tu Calle will build “El Principal” and “El Óvalo” parks, whose objective is to strengthen community ties, reactivate neighborhood life and encourage citizen participation in the AA.HH. El Mirador II in Pamplona Alta - San Juan De Miraflores. Despite its construction, the residents of AA.HH. El Mirador II does not carry out care or maintenance actions, which is why a diagnosis of the problem is carried out to delve into this inaction. The applied research method is the case study. Our hypothesis proposes to demonstrate that the reasons why the neighbors do not take care of the parks are i) the lack of tools and knowledge about the care of these and ii) the type of leadership that the neighboring leaders have. In this sense, a communication project for development called “Al Ritmo De Tu Parque“ is designed, which seeks to promote that the residents of AA.HH. El Mirador II has provision for the care of the parks and that these are maintained over time through the appropriation strategy that aims at the attitudinal-behavioral change of the residents through two stages: the knowledge stage that is based on establishing the affective bond and the action for the assessment that motivates the execution of care activities from the park.
