Language is the specifically human faculty, which allows the person to express and communicate their thoughts, feelings and ideas; through oral, written and gestural signs; favoring a correct interaction with their environment. However, today we can see that language difficulties in children are increasing, affecting their social development and learning. The objective of this case study is to design an assessment and intervention plan that helps a better linguistic development in a 5-year-2-month-old boy with difficulties in the lexical-semantic, morphosyntactic and phonetic-phonological components. The difficulties in these two-dimensional control components of language: content and form; which negatively impact the use of language. For which it was applied in the intervention process in a hybrid model, which combines strategies focused on both the child, the adult, and their environment. The results show an increase in the expressive and comprehensive vocabulary referred to the programmed categories. Achievements in justifying associations of a categorical type, in answering literal questions, in carrying out simple instructions for an action +3 elements, in identifying and verbalizing simple sentences of the type: subject-verb-prepositional phrase “with“; as well as the identification of the fons / r-l / in pairs of words and pseudowords. It is concluded that the applied intervention plan made it possible for the child to improve in the lexical-semantic, morphosyntactic and phonetic-phonological components, allowing better communication and interaction in all areas.
