Feedback is a crucial component of the teaching-learning process because it gives students the autonomy to complete the required tasks and empowers them to manage their own learning with the teacher's guidance. In this way, the topic of study is teacher's feedback in the context of writing instruction. In view of this, the research problem is: what are the feedback practices in the process of teaching writing in thirdcycle primary school classrooms in a private school in Metropolitan Lima? Therefore, the aim is to examine these practices on the basis of two specific objectives: to identify the types of feedback used in writing instruction and to describe the feedback strategies used in writing instruction. This research is descriptive and presents a qualitative approach using the descriptive method. As research methods, observation and interviews are used. It is concluded that task-oriented feedback is predominant in the third-cycle classrooms of this study. Teachers also employ asking, modeling, and self-correction codes as writing feedback techniques. In the first two grades of elementary school, writing acquisition is taught through feedback, according to the research on teachers' experiences.
