ABSTRACT The present thesis has for main purpose, evaluate the viability in commercial, organizational and financial terms, by conducting a study of pre-factibility, for the exportation of colonial handicraft carved in wood from Trujillo city, to the city of Frankfurt-Germany. The investigation, was designed in five chapters, in which the chapter 1, offers a strategic analysis, in which contains an evaluation of the general environment of the German market and the handicrafts sector; those results were condensed in the analysis of the competitive strengths by Porter and the FODA matrix. The chapter 2 involves an extensive the market research, developed in order to analyze the market segment, the attributes of the product and its main design, the price fixing methods, the sales strategies constructed around a new brand and the distribution channels that the company must use, to get commercial success. The chapter 3 comprehends the legal requirements needed to execute the export of the products that originated the following investigation, while the chapter 4 exposes the improvements made to the main design of the organization ARTESANIAS PERUANAS LIKAVAPI SAC., including the implementation of a new quality policy for local producers. The chapter 5 contains the economical evaluation of the project in terms of the budget of incomes and expenses (cash flow), the breakeven, the capital required and the sources of funding and finally the projected financial statements. Finally, the chapter concludes with the project’s evaluation in terms of profitability indicators: Net present value (VAN), internal rate returns (TIR) and the costbenefit ratio (C/ B).
