The present investigation was carried out in the district of Huanchaco, in Peru. The objective of this work is to analyze the bearing capacity with the SPT method in the coastal area of the city of Trujillo, to carry out the thesis a non-experimental design was used, the sampling was non-probabilistic by Judgment, the data collection was performed using the technique of Experimental Observation. As an instrument, an information guide was used through field notes where the results of the in-situ tests were recorded. Technical sheets were also used for the observation of the various tests that were carried out, field note sheets for the light dynamic penetration test. The problem that occurs every year in the coastal areas of Peru, the number of homes that increases rapidly and disorderly. The lack of economic resources, the lack of technical knowledge and the scarce information regarding the E050 Standard (Soils and Foundations), are problems that lead to informal construction or constructions of high vulnerability. Due to this, their homes are being built in a structurally unsafe way, which can trigger the loss of human lives. That is why it is essential to analyze the bearing capacity of the soil in the coastal zone such as the district of Huanchaco. It is concluded that the type of foundation will be shallow, and the results of the capacity vary at different points from 2.09 kg/cm^2 – 2.50 kg/cm^2. The support soil will be a poorly graded sand (SP) of a dense compactness whose admissible capacities are regular for which a soil improvement is not recommended, there will be no instant settlement problems and soil liquefaction problems.
