The general objective was to implement an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 45001 - 2018 to minimize occupational risks in the company SIERRA NORTEÑA S.A.C. The methodology followed by the research was to analyze the initial situation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, based on surveys, documentary analysis, determination of indicators of the current Safety Management System, after which, the IPERC was carried out basis to then carry out the design of the Occupational Health and Safety system based on the international standard ISO 45001 - 2018 and its implementation, in addition to an analysis of the risk control measures adopted to reduce risk levels. Whose research results show that there is a direct influence of the Occupational Health and Safety System based on the ISO 45001 standard on the level of risk. Consequently, the high-risk level decreased by 100%, while the moderate risk level decreased by 34%, considering that it should continue to be monitored monthly to keep the risk levels low, on the other hand, the savings of the costs per accident (S /. 2,063,213.74) and the cost of implementing the system (S /. 52,670.00) is 3% equivalent to 2,063,213.74.
