Introduction: Dating violence (DV) is any type of intentional aggression between members during the relationship. Objective: This comparative descriptive study aims to compare DV levels in students from public and private universities in Metropolitan Lima. Method: The instrument used was the CUVINO, the sample was 208 people, men and women, aged between 18 and 25 years from Metropolitan Lima. Results: They indicate that there are no significant differences when comparing the variable according to sex. However, there are differences according to races. Where architecture students have a higher score in VN. Finally, no differences are observed when comparing the DV between universities. Discussion: Ruiz (2021) found that DV exists in medical, engineering and nursing students. In this study, no differences were found between students from public and private universities. Contrarily, Iparraguirre (2017) found that there are differences between both groups.
