The research titled “Structural design of pavement of the Virgen del Socorro Population Center, La Esperanza district, Trujillo, La Libertad” focuses on the structural design of flexible pavement of streets and avenues of the Virgen del Socorro Population Center. To achieve this task, specific objectives are proposed such as obtaining the geometric profile of the roads in the study area and making a proposal for stormwater evacuation that consists of a pumping system, both on the road and on sidewalks, focused mainly on in preventing floods caused by the El Niño phenomenon. With respect to the methodology used, this research is applied - descriptive and the research design is non-experimental, the observation technique was used for research studies such as: study of soil mechanics, topography and traffic study . The results of these studies revealed a type of sandy soil according to SUCS classification, a maximum corrected dry density of between 2.09 and 2.29 gr/cm3 for an optimal corrected moisture content that varies between 7.57% and 8.71%, the results of the topography show a flat orography with 1.5% maximum longitudinal slope and 1.89% maximum transverse slope. As a conclusion, a design is then proposed for both rigid pavement, with a thickness of 17.5 cm of concrete slab and 15 cm of subbase, and a flexible pavement, with a 5 cm thickness of asphalt, 15 cm of base and 10 cm of gound base. Regarding the geometric design, a width of 5 m was proposed. (two lanes), with a 2% slope and 2.20 m sidewalks. with a slope of 2%, as a rainwater evacuation proposal, a drainage system consisting of mailboxes located every 50 m connected by 50cm PVC pipe was proposed. diameter.
