The cancer problem in our country is an issue that can not be ignored so some time ago, the health sector has emphasized promoting prevention of this evil application we need increasingly better techniques for detecting early and prompt treatment in this respect MRI gives us the opportunity to demonstrate lesions Multiple Myeloma even early in the Spine, in order to predict neurological complications due to the deterioration of the vertebral bodies. In this paper we describe the imaging features of this disease. Our study is an observational, descriptive, cross-sectional retrospective. Which was applied in 29 patients of the National Institute of Diseases Neoplasms in the period 2010-2012, of which 22 met the inclusion criteria, of these 11 (50%) were women with an average age of 60 years and 11 (50%) were male with an average age of 64 years, being a total of 51 lesions, of which 21.57% were located in the cervical region, 39.21% were ubicó en the dorsal region and 39.21% in the lumbosacral region. The T1 weighting evidenced one 38.63% of total injuries, 36.36% T2 and STIR weighting 25%. We found a total of 20 core and 35 compressions vertebral collapses into its various segments.Keywords: cancer, MRI, multiple myeloma, spinal cord compression, vertebral collapse.
