In the treatment of dental malocclusions, the diagnosis and treatment plan depends very much on the assessment of how the jaws are related. Several authors, in the formulation of their analysis, have sought anatomical reference points and more stable reference planes, reliable, easily identifiable and reproducible and also get angular or lineal measures. The objective of the current work was to compare the sagittal skeletal pattern of applying the cephalograms KIM, STEINER and PROJECTION USP. A comparative cephalometric study using 100 radiographs was conducted among patients of both genders whose ages ranged between 18-30 and who attended the orthodontic clinic of the post grade unit of San Marcos University, in the period 2005_2010. Kappa’s statistical test was applied to their results to determinate the existence of concordance between the analysis by their evaluation scale. The result shows a low level of concordance between SteinerKim (Kappa’s indices: 0,283) Steiner - and the PROJ USP (Kappa indices 0,341). The higher concordance was observed between the Steiner cephalograms and PROJ USP, and the lowest between Kim and USP. KEY WORDS: COMPARISON STEINER- PROJUSP-KIM; SAGITTAL RELATIONSHIP; CEPHALOMETRIC;CONCORDANCE.
