In recent years, anti-aging treatments have become increasingly popular, especially by promoting them through social media platforms. The present research aims to show the importance of the discourse used in these promotions to identify how it can impact the perception of users towards the consumption of such treatments or the existence of a possible social pressure. The objective of the research is to analyze the perception of users towards the discourse used in the promotion of anti-aging treatments in social networks. For this purpose, a critical discourse analysis was applied using Stecher's (2010) three-dimensional model. For this purpose, the research has an interpretive paradigm under a qualitative approach and a phenomenological research design was used. As a methodological technique for data collection, three semi-structured group interviews were conducted. The results show that users perceive that the discourse incorporates a concern for aging "with dignity" and the existence of social pressure to meet unattainable physical standards, which produces comparison with younger people. It is concluded that users perceive that the discourse contributes to a normalization to prevent aging under the idea of health and well-being, turning aging into a decision. The discourse imposes a social pressure to look young, the language is shaped by reinforcing a hierarchy of power where older adults are excluded.
