In the department of Amazonas there are three care hospitals in three different districts which are not sufficient for the care of all women in the gestational stage and do not have specialized teams to care for them. For this reason, this research work seeks to provide a better quality in the services of the mother and child binomial throughout their care process according to the different degrees of complexity that are presented. The purpose of this architectural proposal is to present the necessary foundations of the health sector to solve the demand of patients according to the investigations carried out for a correct and effective care, reducing the current maternal infant mortality rate. Developing this Maternal and Child Center in the province of Chachapoyas where there is a higher rate of live births, helping to decongest mainly the Virgen de Fátima Regional Hospital in the Amazon Region and the districts near it so that they have better care, treatment and follow-ups of the entire stage of pregnancy and children from 0 to 5 years. In addition, we will focus on reaching specialized and stimulating spaces for the treatment of the child. There will be some scope and limitations since it is not possible to supply the entire population of the department of Amazonas. Finally, the emphasis of this project is to seek a Biophilic architecture, improving a connection with nature and spaces, being beneficial for the well-being of mothers and children, reducing stress and favoring a speedy recovery.
