The project is based on a proposal for visual identity and design of graphic applications for the emblematic Central Market of San Pedro, which is located in the historic center of the city of Cusco, Peru. Which begins through communication strategies, graphic design being the means by which the identity and ancient tradition of the San Pedro Market can be revalued and strengthened, as a space for meeting and diversity. The project has been developed from a design approach focused on the users who attend the market through which the understanding and understanding of the context, needs and demands of the establishment's visitors has been deepened. For this reason, documentary research and ethnographic research methodologies and visual identity design and information design processes have been implemented. The graphic proposal is composed of elements of the visual identity of the San Pedro Central Market – logo, typographic palette, color palette and supporting iconographic elements, which were applied in the design of all graphic pieces. The validations carried out, both with the establishment's vendors and with the users, indicate that the proposal presented responds to the needs of the users who attend the establishment and is consolidated in an attractive, memorable identity design that revalues the cultural identity of the Market. San Pedro Central. Likewise, it raises opportunities to explore in posthumous work, such as the design of joint signage inside and outside the establishment and advertising campaigns, which involve the joint work and management of different areas of communication.
