This work was carried out in a kitchen utensil manufacturing and marketing company. Through the company's records, it was identified that the company's main problem is the low percentage of on-time deliveries of finished products. The company involved in our case study had on-time deliveries of 63.79% in the year 2022 while the sector had 74.6%. This caused unplanned expenses. The causes of the problem were obtained according to the records of the company under study. In turn, using analysis tools such as the Process Activity Diagram (PAD), the Systematic Interrogation Technique (SIT), and the Path Diagram (PD), the causes were analyzed and evidenced. To improve the percentage of on-time deliveries in the company involved in this case study, the following engineering tools have been implemented. First, the Systematic Layout Planning SLP, which improves product placement. Second, the ABC Classification, which groups the products. Third, the “Kanban” tool, which gives a continuous flow to the processes. Then, to verify if the tools applied were appropriate, a computer program (ProModel) was used. For this reason, a simulation was carried out for each cause that presented a problem. As a result, a time difference was found between the current processes and the improved ones, giving favorable data. This made starts of implementation. In addition, an economic impact analysis was carried out giving economic viability for the project. Also, the non-economic impacts were analyzed, obtaining opportunities for improvements towards the company's personnel in the present case study.
