Clinics seek to meet the need that hospitals cannot meet. Patients look for this second option to have a faster and more specialized service than a hospital could offer. However, if the main factor that attracts customers to opt for the services of a clinic fails, customers would begin to give up on that option. The quality of care in the service is what matters most for the client in a health center, the speed and speed with which they can be attended to, which is why the objective of our study was to improve the admission process to reduce the average attention time. The solution model allowed us to reduce the attention time in the clinic's admission process, which was 45 minutes and decreased to 15.03 minutes. This occurred thanks to the execution of the DMAIC and 5S methodologies together with the Value Stream Mapping tool, fulfilling the purpose of optimizing the process, eliminating activities that do not generate value and establishing an improvement plan for the clinic.
