The construction industry in our country has achieved sustained growth, which has provided new opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector. However, one of the main common problems in the industry is the high stock of materials on-site, which can lead to high logistics costs. Therefore, this research aims to establish some practices to help reduce the high inventory levels based on the knowledge of warehouse management in the social environment of Ayacucho. This research proposes designing an inventory and warehouse management model focused on continuous improvement and change management with the help of tools such as 5S, Kanban, ABC Multicriteria, EOQ, Cycle Counting, and Kurt Lewin. These tools allow for identifying critical materials, high turnover, and appropriate stock levels, as well as determining the correct order quantity for purchase to facilitate inventory control and reduce storage and ordering costs. The results from the proposed model showed an improvement in the cost structure with a 63% reduction in material investment compared to the company's 2021 revenue.
