This work details the successful implementation of a new network architecture based on SD-WAN Velocloud technology to improve connectivity between branches. The purpose of the project is to centralize the management and monitoring of WAN network devices of the branches, implement a network architecture with WAN connectivity redundancy and expand the bandwidth in the connections between branches. Velocloud SD-WAN technology is used, along with concepts such as MPLS, static routing, Fortigate, Switch Cluster, Cacti and VLAN. In addition, the IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.1Q standards are mentioned, used to segment local area networks into multiple virtual networks. The implementation of the Velocloud SD-WAN solution has proven to be successful, as the centralized management platform enables efficient configuration and monitoring of WAN devices. Connectivity redundancy and the addition of multiple WAN links improve network reliability and capacity. In summary, the implementation of Velocloud SD-WAN allows you to improve the efficiency of network device management, provide high availability connectivity to remote resources, and increase data transfer capacity between branches. This modern and flexible solution demonstrates the benefits of SD-WAN compared to older technologies such as MPLS.
