In this work, the design of a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) in Signia Logistics is addressed with the aim of improving corporate application traffic, following Cisco's best practices. SD-WAN emerges as an essential solution to address the inherent limitations of traditional WAN networks. It focuses on overcoming deficiencies, including the lack of optimized access to critical business applications, the lack of effective security, and limited network visibility. The SD-WAN solution is based on the ability to leverage various transport media, such as MPLS, broadband, 5G, and 4G, to establish secure and efficient links between the organization's different locations. This flexibility allows for the design of granular policies based on application types, ensuring a traffic optimization-centered approach. Compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) defined by the organization becomes a reality, significantly enhancing user experience and operational efficiency. The implementation of SD-WAN, following Cisco's best practices, is presented as a comprehensive strategy that not only addresses current challenges but also prepares Signia Logistics for a continuously evolving future in the field of corporate networks. This study will provide a solid foundation for the organization's network transformation and ensure that its IT infrastructure effectively supports critical business operations.
