Destination brand engagement is limited in the tourism industry. Likewise, the effects of social networks after the pandemic show a change in the behavior of tourists when choosing the ideal destination. It is for this reason that this study proposes an integrated framework of the commitment of the destination brand engagement with brand authenticity, the destination brand self-congruence and the social media interaction with perspectives after a COVID-19 context by tourists. Thus, the mediating effect of the destination brand engagement was recognized in relation to the other variables. The results indicate that brand authenticity positively influences engagement with the destination brand engagement, destination brand self-congruence positively influences engagement with destination brand engagement and social media interaction positively influences engagement with destination brand engagement. Finally, we could delve into the relationship of social media interaction and destination brand self-congruence because it is a relationship that has not been studied before. This study concludes with key implications from the analyses and new research opportunities.
