Different studies have identified varied information on violence in adolescents which suggests that those who are exposed to this type of aggression present health risk behaviors, mainly associated with obesogenic behaviors such as the consumption of ultra-processed foods. However, there are no studies that have made this association in adolescents in our country. Objective: The objective was to determine whether there is an association between violence and the consumption of processed and ultra-processed foods in Peruvian adolescents aged 13 to 16 years from the fifth round of the Millennium Children's Study's smallest cohort. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional-analytic study with a secondary analysis approach. The database of a longitudinal study, Young Lives, of the Younger Millennial Children cohort in Peru was used, and a total of 1448 records were used. Questionnaires were used as sources of information: Youth Questionnaire, Household Questionnaire and Confidential Questionnaire. Results: A significant association was obtained between the variables studied: violence and consumption of processed and ultra-processed food, with values in the crude model (PR= 1.29; 95% CI: 1.12-1.50) and in the adjusted model (PR= 1.23; 95% CI: 1.06-1.42). Conclusion: Adolescents who suffered violence are 23% more likely to consume processed and ultra-processed foods on a regular basis compared to those who did not suffer violence.
