This research work analyzed the main limitations to the Peruvian Mining Sector in the export of copper cathodes during the period between 2012 and 2021. This is a great contribution to emphasize the development of the copper industry in Peruvian mining activity, for which limitations were identified in the growth of exports of copper cathodes in Peru. For this purpose, the formative, technological, governmental limitations were analyzed, and an exhaustive analysis was carried out, in which the subcategories of permanent training, commitment effectiveness, contribution of measurement instruments, innovation of measurement instruments, ambiguity in government policies, government policies consistent with reality and the well-being of the community were considered. In this research, a qualitative analysis was carried out and semi-structured interviews with industry experts were used, as well as the Atlas TI software for processing the data found. Finally, the findings show that the lack of professional training and training in the processing of copper cathodes and socio-environmental conflicts are the main limitations in the production of copper cathodes and, therefore, have an effect in the export of these products.
