The work of professional competence consisted in designing a proposal for the implementation of board games to develop cooperative work skills in students from 9 to 10 years old in a private school in Metropolitan Lima. To support the intervention, a literature search was conducted on socioemotional skills, socioemotional development, cooperative work skills and games. To identify the problem, design thinking techniques were used. In turn, two instruments were applied: an anecdotal notebook and a survey to determine the needs of the users and to design an intervention through an innovation project. The objective of the project is to improve and reinforce the students' cooperative work skills for respect among them, active listening and the ability to resolve conflicts. This project was composed of two milestones: Milestone 1 with a duration of three weeks and Milestone 2 with a duration of two. For the present work of professional sufficiency, the first milestone was executed, in which it was concluded that the implementation of cooperative board games is an effective pedagogical tool for the development of active listening, assertive communication and autonomy of students. In conclusion, this project provides a new strategy to promote socioemotional development in the educational institution. This proposal benefits all educational members, since the intervention promotes a good school climate, thus avoiding bullying situations.
