K-Pop comes from South Korea and contains a wide variety of genres, but without changing its national essence. Although it dates back to 1990, it currently has a business and commercial focus that is intended to expand globally. This is mainly done through the media and social networking sites that are the link between musical idols and their fans. The study of K-Pop in the journalistic sector is important because it starts from an anthropological and sociological approach, since it has an ascending cultural influence in several countries. On the other hand, apart of being cataloged and sold as a product, it also impacts on various aspects of the lives of its consumers; such as: in their values, their effort, their level of leadership and companionship with their close ones, among others. This thesis is distinguished from other research works because it focuses on the analysis of the representation of K-Pop in traditional and digital media, and not only in a specific one, as has been considered for content from past years. This aspect is relevant due to the complementarity of both and the functionality they possess to transmit a message or media content.
