Information and communication technologies (ICT) have managed to play an important role in the economy and society, by reducing information asymmetries, increasing productivity and contributing to economic development. The literature shows that ICTs are tools that can impact households, businesses, human capital and economic growth. However, previous empirical research on the relationship between income and ICTs measures ICTs only through the Internet and the results vary depending on the form and country analyzed. Therefore, this paper aims to determine the relationship between the use of ICTs (computer, laptop, cell phone and internet) and the level of household income, using the Differences in Differences (DID) model for a data panel between 2016-2018. Among the main findings, it is obtained that the relationship between the variables, use of ICT and income, is positive and significant. Likewise, households that are not in a rural area benefit from the use of ICT. These results reveal that Peruvian households that have used ICTs have managed to take advantage of the benefits and opportunities that their use generates and increase their income, unlike those families that could not use them.
